Shark Cake

I had so much fun with this cake. My son Chase turned 6 and asked for shark cake. This is what I came up with. Everything is handmade from fondant. The sharks were cut out using a template I printed from the internet. The life saver and the number 6 have shark bites taken out of them. The shark fins on top were cut with one end of a leaf cutter. I thought it made the perfect shark fin shape. The triangles at the top with Chase are supposed to represent shark teeth.

Thomas the Train

Thomas the Train cake, inspired by a cake I saw on The Pink Cake Box website.

Monkey Cake

My Little Kai turned two in February and he LOVES monkeys. So I decided to make him a monkey cake. The cake barely survived until it was time for the party. When I turned my back he attacked the cake and stole the 3rd monkey and ate it! So, this is the patched cake after he attacked it. Can you blame him? Everything on the cake was made by hand with fondant.

Here is my cute Kai.

Fun Halloween Cake

This cake is decorated with handmade fondant and gumpaste pieces. The tree is made from modelling chocolate.

Coors Light Bottle Cake

Very proud of this one! I have a fear of sculpted cakes, my husband helped me out with this one by cutting it for me coloring the fondant and airbrushing it. He did a great job. The logo was cut out by hand.

Simple Birthday Cake

Here is a simple buttercream birthday cake with buttercream roses.

Barbie Doll Cakes

I made these Barbie cakes for my friends 2 cute little girls who turned three years old. I used my new Cricut Cake Machine to cut the designs for the dresses. I got them on a little crooked. They were actually kind of tough to get on there without breaking them. I also used the Cricut Cake to cut the letters out. I LOVE my new Cricut Cake and I can't wait to use it more!!

Another Really Cute Topsy Turvy

OK, I had so much fun making this one. I think I say that every time. But this one is my new favorite.

I'm a little tea pot

I made this little tea pot for a friends daughter's tea party. The spout and handle are made from fondant. The cake is iced in butter cream with fondant decorations. I used my Pampered Chef large batter bowl to bake the cake in. It was the perfect shape for a tea pot.

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?

I made the cake for my son's 5th birthday. He wanted a Spongebob castle cake. I cheated on this cake. Since I don't have an edible image printer I printed the from my regular printer and laid them onto a piece of fondant I cut to match the image. The castle parts are from the Wilton Castle set. It is the first time I used it. They were kind of a pain to cover in fondant. I ran short on time so I didn't have time to add his name to the cake :(
OH! I used cinnamon toast crunch cereal for the dirt. I crushed it in my food processor. It tasted so good!! Much better than anything else I have ever used for dirt.
